Married At: Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel
I put a deposit on our Elvis package online about six weeks before the wedding. I'd researched every LV wedding chapel that had a Web site and had sent a message to VLV chapel to see how nicely and quickly they would respond to some simple queries. Their response was timely and quite nice so I got a warm and fuzzy from that experience. We had two requirements: a live Webcast of our wedding was a must and we wanted Elvis to perform the ceremony, not just perform AT the ceremony. Viva Las Vegas fit the bill perfectly.
Our package included a stretch limo to and from the chapel. When we walked out to wait for the limo, our driver was already waiting for us. He was a great guy and volunteered to put the champagne we'd bought for the post-wedding trip back to our hotel on ice. He was very sweet to my 88-year-old mom and everyone in our little wedding party liked him. The wedding party included my sweetheart, his parents, my mom and two friends of mine.
When we arrived at the chapel, we settled up our bill, had brief instructions on the ceremony and then the fun began. Our Elvis was quite charming and had a very good singing voice. This place has the Las Vegas wedding down to a science but we didn't feel rushed or forced to get on with things. We got exactly what we wanted: a fun, sweet wedding where we could be ourselves. The proofs from the photographer, which we received about a week afterwards in the mail, are superb. We're ordering at least one of each picture.
The trip back to the hotel was grand. The stretch limo we rode in was clean, comfortable and glamorous. We popped the chilled champagne and lived it up. Some day after years of marriage, I look forward to renewing our vows in Las Vegas and expect to do so at Viva Las Vegas Wedding Chapel.
