Date of Wedding: May 24, 2004
Married At: Little Church of the West
What a beautiful, quaint little church. Made of cedar on the outside and redwood on the inside. The Little Church is listed on the National Registry of Historical Places and remains the oldest existing structure on the Strip. It's located across from the Luxor. Our wedding was such a memorable, loving experience. It was all set up on the internet with www.lvwedme.com. Robert Barrington (sp?) was so easy to work with. He set up everything up for us.
After the ceremony (all 3 minutes and 41 seconds on CD Rom) we rode the limosine up and down the Strip and was given a wonderful and informative history of the Strip by our limo driver, Luis. He told us of sites we would definitely want to see -- the desert (The Valley of Fire) and Hoover Dam. We had a rental car from Hertz, which was easily reserved over the internet also. Their kiosk is located inside the airport - right were you retrieve your luggage. I definitely recommend a rental - if you are planning to spend at least 5 days there. There is so much to see and do that I already made reservations for 2006. Yes, we are going back - to finish what we didn't get to see. And, I found everyone in Vegas is friendly. AND, Vegas is so clean. They must stay up most of the night cleaning up after everyone because the next morning, it is spotless - not only the casinos, but also the sidewalks.
I am impressed -- oh, I don't mean to forget to mention the buffets! ooo la, la. You know the commercials on TV that say "What happens here stays here"? Well, I gained 4 pounds and brought it home with me. It's not pricey. Take lots of film. And most of all - ENJOY YOURSELF!!
Thank you Little Church of the West and the Luis - our limo driver. Thank you for making our wedding a memorable and enjoyable experience. Oh yeah, getting your marriage certificate is 'a piece of cake' also. Take lotsa pictures!! And a word of advice...don't forget your driver's license. Now, that's another story.
VIVA LAS VEGAS!!
